Pyrus are deciduous trees or shrubs with oval leaves and scented white flowers in spring, followed by green or brown fruits, edible in some species. ‘Chanticleer’ has a small habit with glossy, dark-green foliage and an abundance of white blossoms appearing from May to June. The leaves will turn to a bright red in the autumn. A very popular tree for pollinators due to the masses of flowers produced. Plant in a sunny location with well-drained, moist soil.
