'Irish Luck' is an upright, dense, borderline hardy, evergreen shrub with dark stems bearing small, oval to elliptic, glossy, dark green leaves, finely hairy at the margins, and, in late spring and early summer, small, fragrant, purple-brown flowers followed by dark grey seed capsules.
