An adaptable, vigorous evergreen shrub with silvery grey-green leaves. Elaeagnus x ebbingei makes one of the best coastal hedges and is considered a front line coastal shrub. The dense bushy habit also makes it an ideal evergreen hedge for inland gardens. Grow in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Pruning, when required, is generally carried out in mid to late spring.
