Cupressocyparis are large, very fast-growing evergreen trees of narrowly conical or columnar habit, with dense clusters of tiny scale-like leaves small spherical cones. Its foliage stands out in flat sprays of bright yellow to golden to bronze. Since it holds its colour year round, it is a plant of interest no matter what month. Plant in well-drained soil in a partially shady to fully sunny location.
Site & Soil: Grow in well-drained soil in full sun or part shade. Suitable for hedging but requires regular trimming.
Hardiness: Hardy throughout the UK and northern Europe. Many plants grown in containers will be damaged unless given protection.
