Cotoneaster can be deciduous or evergreen shrubs or small trees, with simple, entire leaves and clusters of small white or pink flowers in spring and summer, followed by showy red, purple or black berries. ‘Hybridus Pendulus' is a vigorous prostrate evergreen shrub with large, elliptic leaves and small white flowers followed by profuse red berries in autumn; often top-grafted to form a pendulous small tree to 2m tall. Plant in full sun in moist, well-drained soil.
Site & Soil: Grow in well-drained soil in full sun. Forms a small tree with weeping branches when grown as a standard.
Hardiness: Hardy throughout most of the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open or exposed sites. Potted plants at an increased risk of damage without protection.
