Cornus can be deciduous shrubs or trees, some with brightly coloured young stems. Dense clusters of small flowers are creamy white, sometimes with showy bracts. Many have fine autumn colour. ‘Sibirica’ has dark green, oval foliage and produces creamy white flowers in the Spring, although its most stunning quality is its fluorescent coral-red stems. Best in full sun, this plant will provide exceptional colour in the winter garden when the leaves drop and the bright stems are revealed. Plant in any soil so long as it is moderately fertile.
