A low-growing, mound-forming tree, or shrub. Its deeply cut leaves emerge green in the spring before turning shades of yellow, orange, and red in the autumn. Purplish-red spring flowers are followed in autumn by bright red winged fruits.
Site & Soil: Grow in fertile, moist, well-drained neutral to acid soil in full sun to partial shade.
Hardiness: Hardy in all of UK and northern Europe.
Eventual Height & Spread: 2m x 2.5m.
Other: Water in summer if necessary. Leaf scorch can be caused by lack of soil moisture or excessive exposure.
